Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

 

In November this year, I will be embarking on an epic fundraising adventure – Cycle for a Cure – Vietnam.  This challenge is on behalf of the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation, an organisation that works to fund young researchers in ground breaking projects including early detection, new treatments and cures across all types of cancer. 

 

Just 18 months ago my father lost a very painful battle with Mesothelioma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.  Just a few months before that, at just 40 years of age, a dear friend lost her battle, having originally beaten breast cancer she was then struck down with bone cancer.   Unfortunately these are not the only story’s of cancer in my life nor is this unique to me, with most of us having had cancer touch our lives in one way or another. 

 

This is the reason why I have taken on the commitment to help the Cure Cancer Foundation.  With 1 in 2 Australians being diagnosed with cancer the more researchers we can fund, the closer we are to finding a cure. 

 

The Cure Cancer Foundation fund young and innovative Australian researchers seeking a cure for cancer.

 

$50 funds one hour, $1,900 funds one week, $8,300 funds one month and $100,000 funds one year of vital cancer research.
